five days ago the sheriff stood up asking for help to find the person that murdered this 15-year-old by and they got help today. michael anderson is being charged with second-degree murder. investigators say they also arrested his girlfriend, 18 wrold lindsey surely. anderson and david knew each other a while and this was the outcome of a drug deal gone bad. this is what the head of the homicide department said. >> we have children, teenagers playing dangerous games and now we have a 15-year-old who is dead and a 17-year-old who is in serious trouble as a result of killing another child. >> it is very unfortunate and our hearts and prayers go out to

many others in this type of situation. we hope it a wake up call for am young men and women involved in this thing. it can be lifechanging. >> reporter: michael anderson has been arrested before in fact mug shot we showed you is the one from his previous arrest. they are not saying what the charges were. the sheriff made a point letting everybody know may this arrest thanks to the community coming forward. he said they could solve more crimes this fast if mome people cooperated. holly bristow, live. an innocent bystander shot in a park when people nearby started shooting.

>> reporter: that person was working on this fence that borders a playground that belongs to this precool. it happened around 12:30 when a woman and her boyfriend got into an argument and the man pulled out a gun and fired but instead of hitting the intended target, the girlfriend, he shot the innocent worker instead. deputies were able to catch and arrest the shooter shortly after. the neighbors are on edge and deputies confirm the crime is getting worse. >> this place so corrupt the people out here don't care. >> reporter: there are a bunch of kids in this neighborhood which makes this all that much more scary for the parents out here. deputies athey will be out here

>> reporter: the threat is facing palm bay fire and police to increase patrols in neighborhoods with high fire activity. nearly 80% happening in the rural area known as the compound. >> these fires get started and there is not a lot to stop them other than a few houses in the way. >> reporter: the fire department said most| of the fires have been ruled suspicious but they don't have enough efrd to be more specific than that. this resident said during recent fires near his home he gave specific information from police robo calls. >> tay called my home saying juveniles. on sunday there was helicopters and police everywhere because another car was found. >> reporter: the fire department is not blaming the more than hundred fires on any one cause adding that sparks from an atv or wildlife crossing a power line are still possible

the court this was an accident and he never meant to hurt the horse or the rider but the judge said he will spend five years in probation. this morning started off with an emotional recall of events by horse back rider and victim: she said she, her husband, and a few friends were on a night horseback ride last year. she and her horse were run down by a truck. christopher todd was driving and sped not not looking to even help. >> it was an accident. back home after fox35 >> sonni: two dead in a small plane crash outside of downtown tampa today. the plane bursted into the flames. the ses gnaw was headed to pensacola before going down. stolen dogs back home after fox35 put the word out. >> sonni: we told you about the english bulldog that vanished when the owner went out to get supplies with a handy man and the police stepped in to help. >> i cannot explain in words how happy i am. my babies are home. >> reporter: as you can see, cara and beauty are just as happy to be back. >> they were so excited.

i am home. >> reporter: the two english bulldog disappeared from her home while at the store with a contractor who was doing work on the house. she feared the worse. >> it seemed like they would not come home. >> reporter: a man got a call from someone saying they found the man running around in sanford than the man gave the dogs away. after leg work officers tracked down both pups. >> i woke everybody up in the house. it was late. they found one at 12:00. i am like they found the dogs. >> reporter: the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the dog is under investigation but she is happy with the way it turned out. >> just knowing the police stand behind you and help you so much was really a nice feeling.

we are hearing from the stunt man who was nearly burned alive in front of a bunch of kids. >> rickey charles tried something new with his fire breathing trick and it went wrong. >> it happened so fast. >> reporter: charles was wielded in the news conference covered in burns and praising god to be alive. >> i am lucky. it is like getting burned alive and an audience is watching. >> reporter: he normally uses charcoal lighter fluid for the show and wanted to setup the game and googled other breathers fluid. >> when i did the flame, it lights so fast the flame came back and touched my face. >> reporter: the one thing he frogot to do is try it at home before the pep rally. >> i used the right fluid but i

settlement. >> reporter: an orlando man one a one million case against the city after a tree fell on him. in 2012 this tree crashed on top of valdez and his car. attorney matt morgan sued the city. >> we had a cervical fusion, lumbar, carpal tunnel surgery, $500,000 in medical bills. >> reporter: we received 1.16 million in a settlement but morgan said it should not have happened. >> the city knew the tree was in poor condition in 2007 and never removed the tree until it fell on mr. valdez. >> reporter: morgan is concerned there are other rotting oaks in the city calling them ticking time bombs. >> the 2014 hurricane damaged many trees and they inspected them. >> we had a complete tree

other schools and districts? >> the district has done this in some orange schools. there are already eight high schools that have their own laptops. the students that i spoke with at one of those high schools said they like it. the teachers said it it allows them to do like instruction that is more interesting for students. the principal said they have had fewer students with damaged laptops than textbook because they take ownership of the laptops. >> sonni: are they seeing any boost in grades as a result of the lessons being more interactive? >> i don't know about that. the principal told me more students were turning in their homework because there is no more dog ate my homework type excuse. when students submit their homework there is a digital time stamp.
